Rook & Rating respects the work of writers, photographers, game annotators and publishers. The guides, explanations and graphics on this site are written for it. Rating formulas, published regulations and tournament results are facts; where we describe FIDE's regulations, we summarise them in our own words and link to the official sources rather than reproducing them. We do not republish annotated games, opening books or copyrighted diagrams.

Filing a Notice

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, email logan.luo@adsnova.cn with:

• A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
• The URL of each page where the material appears
• Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address
• A statement of your good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner
• Your physical or electronic signature

Our Response

We review complete notices promptly, remove or disable access to infringing material where appropriate and contact you if more information is needed.

Counter-Notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice identifying the material and its location, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was mistaken, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.

Repeat Infringement

We may take further action against repeated, credible infringement. Knowingly false notices may expose the sender to liability. This page is not legal advice.
