Reporting a Calculation Problem

Please include:

• The calculator and every value you entered, round by round
• The rating system involved, such as FIDE, a national federation or an online server
• The figure you expected and its source, such as the official rating list, a crosstable or a pairing program
• For tiebreaks, how the event handled byes, forfeits and withdrawals

National and Online Ratings

Our rating tools follow FIDE's rules. National federations and online servers use different systems, such as Glicko, other K-factors or bonus points. If you would like us to support one, tell us which and where its rules are published.

Suggesting a Calculator

We are considering tools for colour allocation, team match tiebreaks, rating-band prizes and Glicko ratings. Tell us which you would use.

What We Cannot Help With

We cannot change official ratings, rule on disputes in a particular tournament, or certify norms. The chief arbiter, the organiser and your federation's rating officer are the right contacts.

For Organisers and Arbiters

If a feature would save you time at the board, such as importing a crosstable or printing a tiebreak sheet, describe your workflow and the pairing program you use.

Accessibility

If a calculator is hard to use on a phone between rounds, with a keyboard or with a screen reader, tell us the page and device; we treat these as bugs.

Response Times

We aim to reply within five working days and prioritise reports of a wrong calculated result.
